Tho author explains well what histamine intolerance is, the recipes don't really follow common guidelines on foods proven to be histamine stimulants. e.g. too many ingredients include "bad" ingredients like whole eggs (tho somewhere in text she suggests how to sub), beans, mushrooms etc. Granted it depends on which list you abide by (you need to pick 1 and see what your individual sensitivities are. I use Switzerland's volunteer non profit SIGHI with i/p from near 1,000 ppl worldwide and list> 800 items vs someone's personal opinions as if facts, and out to make $).Recipes and a chart in back include labels like GF, kid friendly, vegan, low cal, vegetarian, etc. Some may find this helpful. But, the recipes are boring and lack much taste. For me, mostly I could've either found these on The internet or thought them myself, that's how simplistic they are. For me, that's a deal breaker esp at MSRP of $25.Altogether a simple basic book for beginners only. Suggest finding used at lower price or library loan vs buying. Not worth it.

I have made three recipes so far from this cookbook and they have all turned out great. Recipes are simple and easy to follow. Her guidelines on health and what is quick are really useful. There are also really helpful suggestions on food substitutions. I can’t wait to cook more!

I was very excited to receive this cookbook! I found the information in the introduction about the anti-inflammatory diet, and the foods list very informative (and I like that there is a reference section so I can read more). The what to eat / what to avoid section is a super helpful quick reference guide (since I am new to this) that I can check before jetting off to buy ingredients and groceries. So far I have made two recipes, and bought ingredients for a few more. Both the Roasted Carrot & Garlic Hummus and the Blueberry Corn Muffins are delicious. Today I had the muffins for breakfast and the carrot hummus with sliced vegetables for lunch. Based on how quick and easy the recipes are that I have tried, I plan to make these recipes part of my daily lunch and dinner routine. Next on my list is the vegan pesto (with penne and asparagus). I am particularly excited that the pesto is vegan and nut free since that caters to several of my friends food allergies and dietary preferences. This is quickly becoming my favorite cookbook and I highly recommend it!

A lot of great recipes in this cookbook with easy-to-follow instructions and beautiful pictures. Been having some issues with acid-reflux lately, and I'd prefer to address the issue by changing my diet rather than using antacids. This book is exactly what I've been looking for -- and I can't wait to try the 30 day meal plan at the back using all the book's recipes!

Great recipes for the normal person but disappointed that it claims to be anti-inflammatory. As another MCAS warrior I had high hopes for this book but was shocked by how many night shades and other NO foods it uses in the recipes.

We absolutely love this book!The recipes are delivered in a beautifully laid out manner. The intro that goes over the basics of how to make the most of the book is very helpful. It’s really great that a lot of the recipes don’t take any longer than our usual routines.My partner has to deal with MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome) and having low histamine recipes to choose from makes dinner more enjoyable for us as a family. I was hesitant at first about going low histamine but it’s easy to do so with the help of meal planning and having such a variety to choose from for recipes. Well laid out, beautiful photos, and great recipes!

Love this book! The recipes are healthy, accessible, and turn out well. The book has a lot of scientific information and is thoroughly researched. Delicious and healthy!
